Elasticsearch and search console
Manage indices, documents, queries, shards and cluster health according to server capabilities.
Search and data workspace
The console evaluates the connected Elasticsearch/OpenSearch distribution and version capabilities. Query and administration tools are therefore considered in the context of the target server.
- Discover indices and fields, search documents and export results.
- Prepare, classify and execute requests in the developer console.
- Inspect templates and lifecycle resources.
- Use snapshot, security and task tools on supported servers.
Cluster health and diagnostics
- View node, shard and index state together.
- Health checks, metrics and upgrade-readiness inspection.
- Manage request policies and health settings with authorization.
- Inspect Kubernetes context and slowlog information for cluster targets with the required Pod access.
Investigate a slow query
Elasticsearch/OpenSearch versions do not all expose the same APIs. Plugins, server license features and target-account permissions affect the available tools. Read-only connection settings and request policy apply to console requests too.
- Choose the correct connection and index, then inspect its fields.
- Run the query in the console and examine the returned data or error details.
- Correlate the result with node/shard health and available slowlog data.
- Before submitting an administrative request, check its classification, scope and write permissions.
