Helm charts and releases
Install from chart repositories and manage release values, history and upgrades.
From chart to release
The Helm page brings chart discovery and the lifecycle of installed releases together. Repositories show available distribution packages, while releases represent installations in your cluster.
- Add, refresh and remove chart repositories; search charts and inspect default values.
- Install a release into a selected namespace.
- View an existing release’s values and revision history.
- Upgrade, roll back to a previous revision or uninstall a release.
Upgrade with context
- Verify the active cluster and the release namespace.
- Review current values and revision history.
- Prepare the target chart version and values changes, then start the upgrade.
- Follow the rollout in Workloads and Events; roll back to an appropriate revision if needed.
Repository access and rollback
The chart repository must be reachable from the Battani server. Private or air-gapped repositories require your own access arrangement. Helm operations are constrained by application permissions and Kubernetes access.
A Helm rollback does not automatically reverse changes to application data. Evaluate the effect of uninstalling a release and the chart’s resource policies on persistent data separately.
