Docker Registry management
Manage container image repositories, tags and registry access policies.
Image inventory
Docker Registry lets you inspect repositories, tags, manifests and image details in the browser. The installation script can prepare an optional embedded registry service, and registry records are managed within the application.
- List repositories/tags and inspect manifests, tag details and referrers.
- View connection information and access scopes.
- Delete images/manifests and manage labels with the required permission.
- Share registry access with users or teams.
Operational policies
- TLS settings and certificate management.
- IP allowlists and quota definitions.
- Run cleanup jobs and inspect their history.
- Follow registry operation records.
Review old images
Registry version and configuration affect supported operations. Deleting a manifest and reclaiming physical disk space are different actions; the registry’s cleanup behavior matters. Check dependencies before removing images used by running workloads.
- Select the target registry and inspect its repository/tag inventory.
- Review manifest details and usage context to identify versions that must be retained.
- Apply authorized cleanup or deletion operations.
- Check job history and registry audit records.
